This is what I came up with for my entry in `Mirz123's 2012 Emoticonist Yearbook :dummy:

My EC is Setzer and he's doing some scuba diving. So there hopefully isn't any confusion, both Seapuppy and Cantidog are my usernames. While Seapuppy is my dA name, it's outdated, and here is the only place I use it anymore. I've been working towards associating my active screen name with my account rather than creating a new account.

This is my first entry into the Yearbook, and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did making it!

Overall I think you've done a pretty good job on this. The background is fairly simple but works well for the setting and I especially like the bubbles. The dithering works well and creates a water like effect, though I feel you should add some darker dithering right at the bottom of the screen. Imagine there's another colour layer off screen and you are blending it with that as you could do with something to break up the large block of colour.

My other suggestion is to work on your border colours. The border of your emote isn't really dark enough that things like the air tanks merge into it and look part of the emote instead of added features. You could also look at maybe adding in some small fish/jellyfish into the gaps either side to fill in the space but it's not really necessary if you don't want to.

Other than that I think it's a nice emote. The choice of font colour and style works well and it stands out as a unique project entry :)

yeah it definitely looks good, like its diving down and hasnt quite reached the bottom yet, the bubbles really do set it off well ^_^

Thank you! I tried doing the seaweed, but it made it look too cluttered, and the fish was too much towards the end. When I remembered divers are always making bubbles, it sounded like the perfect fit!
